Dr. Richard McAroy Dr. Richard McAroy is a 1999 graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, he also holds a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Central Oklahoma. He was previously a member of the Children's Hospital State Police Detachment in Oklahoma City while studying biochemistry as an undergraduate. He and his family (wife Sheena, son Riley, cat 3 year old obese Ivan, and turtle Rupert) moved to New Hampshire upon graduation and reside in Nashua. His professional interests include USDA-APHIS bioterrorism first responder training, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, and the diseases and surgical conditions specific to English Bulldogs. Dr. McAroy is active with the Veterinary Information Network (VIN).
In his (small amount of) free time, Dr. McAroy enjoys hiking, geocaching, playing HALO 2 with his son Riley, and roasting his own coffee beans. His cats are very upset that they must see a veterinarian every day. |

Kimberley, Weekend Kennel Technician
I am a life-long resident of Nashua, NH and spend my weekdays working as a professional photographer. On weekends I have been the kennel technician at Lowell Road Veterinary Center for the past year and a half.
I currently don't have any pets at home because I spend so much time pet sitting for other people. I have always loved animals, so taking care of other people's animals while they are away makes me feel as though in some small way I am making a difference by giving them as much loving care as their owners would.
In my few minutes of free time I enjoy yoga, weight lifting, kickboxing and watching hockey (especially the Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche). On Sunday afternoons I walk the dogs at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua and I participate in their fund-raising activities. I am also very active in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life fundraiser as a volunteer and team captain. I am a vegetarian and addicted to the show "24".

Sheena McAroy, Book-keeper
I was born in California and grew up all over the United States, namely in Hawaii, Virginia, Arizona and Oklahoma. I moved to New Hampshire in 1999 with my husband and son and have lived in the Nashua area since May of 1999. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a B.S. in Forensic Chemistry.
Before moving to New Hampshire, I spent five years working for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Oklahoma City. During that time I was a member of the On Site Recovery Team working during the Alfred Murrah Federal Building bombing in 1995. I have greatly enjoyed working with my husband, Dr. McAroy since we bought the practice in 2001. I graduate this year as a Registered Nurse from Rivier College.
Currently, we have 5 fish, 1 bearded dragon, and 2 cats. There is a hawk that lives outside the house in the backyard, and his name is Mitch.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, geo-caching and working on my second novel. And I make outstanding risotto and breads.

Robin, Office Manager
I was bom and raised in Hudson and now reside in downtown Nashua with the numerous dogs and cats I have taken in over my many years working in veterinary medicine. I currently live with five dogs and five cats, all of who were given up by their previous owners for various reasons. The unwanted, unruly, unloved pets of the veterinary hospital have found a loving and stable home with me and I am honored to care for them. (However, the "inn" is very full!) I have a B.A. in Psychology/Sociology from UMass Lowell. I have spent most of my adult life working at this location and assisting our clients with all of their pet care needs. Having been in the field for such a long time, I have attended a considerable number of continuing education courses in all areas of client service and education, including animal CPR. In the brief time before I came here, I was the Animal Control Officer for Hudson for a year. I have also devoted a considerable amount of time to volunteer work with the local health center and Shi Tzu rescue. On my days off I absolutely love to take my dogs for long walks in the woods and enjoy hiking, cross country skiing and especially enjoy the coordination of homeless pet rescue. I also enjoy trips to Boston try to catch as many music festivals as I can.
Robin makes incredible chocolate chip cookies. |

Alexis, Veterinary Nurse / Kennel Manager
I grew up in a military family and have lived just about everywhere. I currently live in Hudson with my husband and 2 young daughters.
I have worked for Lowell Road Veterinary Center for the past two and a half years. I do weeknight kennel duties, over-see boarding, and work as a veterinary nurse at least two days a week.
I currently have four pets. Vegas is a 1 1/2 year old German Pinscher, Jake is a 4 /2 year old Miniature Pinscher, Dinky is a 1 1/2 year old Chihuahua and Ethel is a 6 month old dog.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, scuba diving, dirt biking and camping. And an interesting fact about me - I have 2 state titles in Javelin and 4 x 400 meter relay.
