Welcome to Lowell Road Veterinary Center!

Tips for dog owners in the winter...

With the coming of winter and all of those "surprise" Nor'easters, dog owners should be watching out for their pets whenever they're outdoors.  Ensure that your dog has plenty of fresh water and that it doesn't freeze... this could result in dehydration if your dog is left out for extended periods.  Most dogs cannot handle overnights out in this weather... ensure that they have adequate food, water, and shelter.

We're also seeing a surprising number of flea infestations lately.  This is due to long-dormant eggs suddenly being warmed by heaters turning on in the house!  If you notice your dog or cat scratching, have them checked right away.  Early detection and treatment of flea infestations means they can be quickly eliminated in a short amount of time.
